Northern Michigan Hockey, Bay Reps in Action

Bay Reps Varsity Hockey is a cooperative high school program that brings together student-athletes from communities across northern Michigan.

Players come from eight schools—Traverse City St. Francis, Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, Kalkaska, Frankfort, Lake City, Traverse City Christian, and Suttons Bay—forming one team with a shared goal: competitive, respectful, high-level hockey.

This cooperative model gives players from smaller or rural schools the chance to compete in Michigan high school hockey while staying connected to their home communities. On the ice, Bay Reps plays as one program, built on trust, effort, and teamwork.

More Than a Season

The program emphasizes sportsmanship, accountability, and respect—values that carry beyond the rink. Players learn what it means to support teammates, represent their schools well, and compete with integrity.

Families, sponsors, and volunteers play a key role in sustaining the program. Their support helps cover travel, equipment, and ice time, making it possible for the team to compete at a high level year after year.

Competitive Hockey, Strong Tradition

Bay Reps has built a reputation for being competitive in the Northern Michigan Hockey League and beyond.

The program continues to grow, season by season, with players who are committed to improving their game and supporting one another.

Whether you’re a player, parent, alum, or fan, Bay Reps represents what northern Michigan hockey does best: hard work, shared responsibility, and pride in the team.
